US Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain Poplstein has taught America's Boating Club^® (United States Power Squadrons^®) Classes for twenty years and has taught the US Maritime Academy 100 Ton Masters classes since 2003 with over five hundred students graduated.
Captain Poplstein has boated on all of the great lakes except Superior and has transversed the Trent Severn, Rideau, Welland, and Erie Canals in the Great lakes and Canada. He has boated on the Great lakes since 1956 and delivered many boats and yachts on the lakes. Graduates of the Us Maritime Academy - Ohio have gone on to become captains of tugboats in Lake Erie, captains of ferry boats in Lake Erie, and many charter and head boat captains. Captain Poplstein has taught classes from Eastlake to Sandusky and to Columbus, Ohio.

Enthusiastic and innovative captain with more than 45 years of sail and power boat experiences on the inland lakes in Ohio, Lake Erie, and Atlantic ocean on various vessels. Susan has extensive experience instructing boat handling and navigation as well as boat maintenance.
